Weblogs powered by ExpressionEngine

Jesse Bennett-Chamberlain (Expression Engine)
Whitespace in use. The categories and popular entries are listed at the top of the page, not in the sidebar as they usually are.

Veerle Pieters
An almost "classic", well-known design, but still incredibly beautiful. Veerle makes use of a dark layout with quite colourful scheme. The result is impressive – and the position of site elements extremely well thought-out.

Weblogs powered by MovableType

Kevin Kornell (Movable Type)
A typical weblog doesn't look like an illustrated magazine. Kevin Kornell's blog does. This one makes use of an "oldie"-style.

  2. For those of you in the ExpressionEngine universe there was a lot of “hot drama” the beginning of this week. Brand new websites, sweeping licensing and support policy changes, taking down the whole Pro Network without any prior notice. I'm not going to try to analyze anything that EllisLab is doing because quite frankly their business is their business (see what I did there - you know you giggled).

  3. Cool, thank you. I was just wondering about how much traffic my EE site can handle. Right now getting 20 - 30 K daily.

  4. All in all, I love the plug-in, and what I was able to accomplish with it on the site. I could have used the summary tag to do what this does, and only showed summaries on the front page and full articles at the link, but I like this idea better. It lets me post a little faster not having to come up with a summary as well as the content
